Our Philosophy
Our Commitment
True health is more than just the absence of disease. It's about experiencing greater vitality in life, being at ease in your body, and feeling ready for whatever comes your way. Too often people accept pain, chronic stress, digestive issues, headaches/migraines, and more as their new norm. It doesn't have to be this way. A diagnosis doesn't have to define you and prescription medication doesn't have to be inevitable. With consistent care and a willingness to make small, incremental changes in our lives, we can create lasting change that addresses root cause imbalances and goes beyond quick, temporary relief. Make today the day you begin to take charge of your health. My commitment to you is that I'll be there every step of the way to provide the treatments, knowledge, and encouragement that you need. Together let's climb the mountain to better health.
About
Will MacDonald L.Ac, LMT

Will is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) practicing in Portland, Oregon. He holds a Masters in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (MSAcCHM) from Pacific College of Health in Science in San Deigo and completed his Massage Therapy and Holistic Health Practitioner training at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health.
He started his journey in the health field over 9 years ago as a massage therapist specializing in therapeutic massage and pain management. He worked alongside chiropractors and other health professionals to provide care for those looking for pain relief and injury rehabilitation as well as for stress relief and overall wellness. He continued to learn and develop his skills by learning Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute and Fascial Counterstrain with the Jones Institute in which he explored advanced somatic bodywork modalities and nervous system restoration. He next went on to explore his interest in eastern philosophy and modalities which led him to study Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science. There he specialized in herbal medicine, orthopedic acupuncture, and Japanese meridian therapy, a gentle yet powerful acupuncture style that’s perfect for those who are a bit nervous or sensitive to needles.
Will utilizes all the modalities at his disposal to create individualized care that addresses every patient’s unique needs. He brings a calming, grounding presence into the treatment room and creates a safe space for patients to de-stress, restore, and heal.
Outside of the clinic Will enjoys being out in nature tapping into his inner mountain goat, hiking, backpacking, climbing, playing guitar, playing pickleball, practicing yoga, and meditating.

Treatments

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a powerful modality to restore balance to the body and reignite its innate capacity for healing. Our bodies have an astounding ability to regenerate, ward off disease, and maintain homeostasis. But when those regulatory processes are compromised long enough over time by a combination of injuries/traumas, exposure to pathogens, excessive stress, emotional hardships, and improper diet & lifestyle it allows disease processes to take hold. By stimulating the body along bodily pathways (meridians) and utilizing certain acupuncture points a practitioner is able to access and guide that innate intelligence and energy (Qi) of the body in a way that facilitates deep healing and brings balance back to the system.
Massage Therapy + Cupping
Massage therapy has numerous benefits including alleviating pain, stress, reducing muscle tension, increasing range of motion, flexibility, speeding recovery from both injuries and post workout soreness, promoting circulation of blood and lymph, and enhancing immunity/overall wellness. It works by freeing restrictions within the network of fascia inside the body, clearing out inflammation, and simultaneously boosting circulation and the availability of fresh blood and nutrients to those bodily tissues. This ensures healthy function and creates freedom of movement. It can be more targeted and therapeutic for addressing specific concerns or more generalized for overall wellness, stress relief, maintenance, and prevention.
